This position is responsible for assisting the department creative team and director in implementing key hotels marketing initiatives and cost management. Activities include budget process oversight, wholesale segment sales support, advertising/promotion production flow and scheduling, and an indepth understanding of social media applications.

Essential Functions:

Manage and implement annual marketing plan/ budget in support of organizational sales and brand objectives. Working knowledge of the budget process and tracking departmental expenses. Organize topics for weekly or monthly marketing meetings with each department head.

Ensure internal marketing communications, including distribution of all marketing and sales collateral.

Provide leadership on initiatives agreed upon by management and take responsibility for follow thru and

Coordinate and complete ongoing projects with internal departments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Position requires demonstrated excellent social media skills, organizational skills and sense of detail as well as cost management skills. Position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential. Knowledge of hotel marketing budgets and advertisement production functions helpful to this position. Leadership role required on weekly meeting agenda production and implementation. Development of department operation manuals for wholesalers, budget and marketing plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years business experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments.
  • Manage all daily office functions related to dept. budget preparation, invoice management, and vendor payments..
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities on a weekly basis.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution related to social media and execution of tasks.
  • Technical skills include working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, word, and power point functions.
  • Must work effectively with Senior-level executives and staff
  • Work alongside outside social media consultants on plan implantation to build awareness of resort services and successes.
  • Client interface in the wholesale contract market.
  • Advanced social media proficiency

Facilitate completion and insertion of outside advertising

Work with director of marketing to determine yearly and monthly budgets and forecasts

Prepare purchase orders and process invoices in a timely manner

Provide communication to customer feedback

Manage social media accounts, review sites, email campaigns

Creative writing and editing skills
